We apologize for the late arrival of volume 2, issue 2 of The Robert Graves Review (2026). We defend our tardiness on that grounds that our publishing delay was intended to allow friends and colleagues attending the Society’s biennial conference in July to submit their papers as notes or as fully-developed article-length essays. A good number accepted our invitation, as you will have guessed by the quality of this issue, and still others have cheerfully committed themselves to submitting an article to next year’s Review, which, returning to the normal schedule, ought to appear on 1 September 2027.

To avoid further delay, we have published this issue without an editorial introduction, in lieu of which we would like to use this postscript to extend our usual, somewhat belated, welcome to newcomers to the pages of The Review. Welcome Edna Longley, Paul Robichaud, Beatriz Seelaender and Enrichetta Soccio! We are more than glad to have you in our company and hope to hear more from you in the coming days.
